The book trade is getting more international

Germany is fast learning to embrace foreign-language books in a big way: what with English being taught earlier in schools, the globalization of the media and economy, and not least the Internet, contact with English texts has become a daily part of life.

Libri’s import concept is aimed at the entire target group for English-language literature:

  • Just the Best: 24,000 mass-market titles in stock, including the much sought-after early exports
  • Work & Science: 60,000 stock titles
  • Anything Goes: 4.5 million titles obtained on request from the UK and America

This import scheme has been extended to include 30,000 books in the Dutch language, 75,000 from Spain and 35,000 from Poland.

More than 1,500 booksellers now use Libri’s "Just the Best" range for bestselling titles, as well as our supply service provided in cooperation with two other wholesalers, Ingram and Bertrams.
The entire process involved in purchasing international literature has been fully tailored to the familiar wholesaling approach. For bibliographies or orders, a title’s country of origin makes no difference.
