BOOXpress gets the book trade moving

Order today, take delivery tomorrow morning – that’s only possible because Libri maintains its very own shipping service. BOOXpress is a company that specializes in media transport; it ships books nationwide in its fleet of 480 vehicles leased from both express and general freight carriers.

These "book trucks" pick up shipments from publishers and deliver them overnight to bookshops together with books and media products ordered from Libri.

To ensure the books are available as soon as the shop opens, our drivers have access to agreed storage areas. They are all entrusted with a big bunch of keys – reflecting a relationship based on trust.

BOOXpress – initially formed as a joint venture with trans-o-flex Schnell-Lieferdienst GmbH, but since 2002 a wholly owned Libri subsidiary – is located near Libri’s Bad Hersfeld centre. Every night our drivers deliver shipments the length and breadth of the country, picking up orders from distribution hubs and shipping points.
