An inventory control system tailored to the book trade

Using an inventory control system will help booksellers of all sizes – from a single retail outlet to a large chain – lay the foundation for a successful future. These systems meet the requirements for an integrated, centrally controlled chain of supply for deliveries from wholesalers, centralized warehouses and publishers. On a daily basis, it supplies precise information about sales and ongoing commercial performance – enabling the key data necessary for operational management of your product range to be determined, and sales targets and purchasing budgets planned at the touch of a button.

Libri has, since 1994, installed more than 300 inventory management systems in bookshops. At around 1,000 workstations at individual outlets and chain branches, Libri’s inventory control system has become an indispensable part of the daily working routine.

Libri JWWS – the industry’s most state-of-the-art inventory control system

The development of the JWWS has, thanks to the use of the latest technology, made possible a revolution in system administration: an inventory control system that outsources part of your workload. Use of Application Service Providing (APS) means that database servers and workstations no longer have to be integrated within a local network.

As a service provider, Libri makes available to customers the JWWS program, the Java application server and the Oracle database in its central computer centre.
